Note: Scot was only Leader for a very short time; he was automatically promoted to Leader but chose not to remain in that position, so he never had a Second under him. Also, any other positions labeled "None" means that something changed before an election was complete so the position was not actually filled before the next change in leadership.
Some interesting points about leadership: very early on, the leaders were chosen by the immortals. Later on, elections were instituted and the Guild was able to vote for who they wanted in open leadership positions. When Talmud became leader, he introduced a charter and set of rules and bylaws for the GoM one point of which was automatic succession -- when a leader stepped down, the 1st became leader, 2nd became 1st, and then elections would be held for a new 2nd. The majority of the rules were things that were always in place, but never written down. It was then amended by Aphrael to allow leaders to choose not to move up if they feel it is in the best interest of the Guild for them to remain in their present position. The next major amendment was done under Jonqualyn's leadership with CoM help and approval. There were a few minor updates as well as some bigger changes, namely the emphasis that Guild members should bring their concerns about the Guild to CoM members as well as additions about the Initiate tag and the addition of the Retired tag.
The immortal advisors to the Guild have also changed over time. Near the beginning, it was Damian and Vaiza. Later on, Damian left and Myra came in, so Vaiza and Myra were the advisors then. More recently, Vaiza left and Phred came in, and the advisors were Myra and Phred. After that, the advisors changed to Serina and Darkur. For a period of time, immortals decided to back out of guild affairs and allow them to run themselves (as they were intended to do.) For a long time, Edmond was the Guild Overseer and Ceirana was the Advisor. At this time, Akael is Advisor to Guilds and Destre is the Overseer of Guilds.
