Guild of Mages

Application Process

To apply to the guild after reaching level 15, you must write a note introducing yourself to the Guild, including any pertinent information about yourself such as other characters you may have, how long you have been playing, what your favorite things to do here are, etc. This note will eventually be posted inside the Guild house while you are questing, and will be the first impression you make to guild members you haven't met face to face, so keep this in mind when writing. This note must be mudsigned and no longer than one note long. If you are not sure how to do this, read 'help note' and 'help mudsign' for assistance.

Once you have written your note, you will need to contact an IT member. To find an IT member online, type 'who gom' and all members of the guild online at the time will be listed. Induction Team members will have the letters 'IT' in their title. Send a tell to one of the IT members, and they will be able to set an interview up with you. You must bring your introductory note to the interview. If there are no IT members on, be patient and try again another time.

Before asking for an interview, please ensure you are able to stay for at least an hour. You will be asked several questions about your time here in the Realms, as well as information from the guidebook and website, so be sure you know the information prior to requesting an interview.

Upon passing your interview, you will be inducted into the Guild of Mages, with a certain number of tasks to complete in a specified amount of time. Your interviewer will take your introductory note and post it inside the guild.

Once inducted into the guild you will begin your 30-day probationary period, during will you will be an 'Initiate.' After 30 days, all Full guild members will vote on your status within the guild. These votes will determine whether you become a full member, remain an initiate for 30 additional days, or are outcast from the guild.
